Some strata communities are well-funded and have a closely controlled plan for future maintenance and upgrading requirements of their building.  Not all of us are in this position.

Strata communities frequently need to find the money to pay for repairs, renovations and redevelopment.  Water penetration, lift upgrades, painting and concrete cancer are the big four strata expenses.  Others have expenses for landscaping, fencing and other aesthetic items.
